Your office desk is under attack! Desktop defender

One of the greatest flash games of all time, Desktop Tower Defence(DTD) has finally made it’s debut on Facebook in the form of Desktop Defender.

If you love strategy puzzlers then Desktop Defender will fit the bill as you defend your desktop by strategically placing various towers around your desk to blast away the hordes of creeps(monsters!) trying to reach opposite ends of the desk.

It is absolutely addictive and endearing to play which makes a great time waster. The sounds are pleasant and the overall experience is relaxing as well as challenging.

Desktop Defender takes all the challenging aspects of the original game and repacks it with some new additions. The Facebook version is coin driven and adds some RPG elements by requiring you to play games to earn coins and unlock new towers and boosters. The boosters are a great addition and you can always buy coins with your hard earned to acquire the unlocks faster.

I found the most fun in Desktop Defender by challenging friends and beating my own scores. I also enjoyed the various modes of play which provide a fun challenging aspect to the game like the “Spawns only” mode which pits you against wave after wave of a tricky creep which will split into two other creeps when you first kill it. This also makes creating your maze of towers even more tricky as they can slip through corners!

I recommend plenty of Missile and squirt towers and a good solid maze
